We are a group of investment professionals with diverse backgrounds who are committed to teamwork, excellence, respect, intellectual curiosity, integrity, honor, and the personal courage to Think and Do the Extraordinary.
As a team, we subscribe to Rudyard Kipling’s famous quote: “For the strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the strength of the Wolf is the Pack”, and we recognize that a more collaborative, cohesive, and knowledgeable team is one that focuses on continuous improvement.
The Office of Investments, along with the Associated Entities Office, is under the direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and University Treasurer.
About Julia Snyder
Julia earned a BS in Engineering Science degree and worked in the telecommunications industry for 12 years. After earning her MBA, she combined her technical knowledge and moved into the business aspect of the telecommunication industry as a project manager.
After raising her three children, she worked as a client service assistant for three financial advisors, assisting clients with asset management requests, generating various quarterly and compliance reports, and collaborating with team members to resolve clients’ issues.
Julia has been very involved in volunteering in her church and with her children’s athletics. She was recently the Treasurer of Sanderson’s Athletic Club. As these activities wind down, she looks forward to free time to enjoy yoga, reading and sewing.
About Anthony Allen
Anthony is a Raleigh area native and a graduate of NC State with a degree in Accounting, concentrating in Internal Audit. He is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in both public and private accounting.
Anthony started his career with a public accounting firm performing audits on governmental and non-profit entities, before moving on to the State Employees’ Credit Union where he served as a Financial Analyst for several years working with their partner entities, namely the State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation.
Anthony is happy to be back home at NC State, working with the Office of Investments. In his free time, he enjoys cheering on the Wolfpack and spending time with his wife, Danielle, and their beagle, Harley.
About Chris Pinkus
Chris is an investment analyst in the Office of Investments. In this role, Chris’ responsibilities include manager sourcing, due diligence and monitoring, and risk management.
Prior to joining the Office of Investments in 2021, Chris was a Consultant at Deloitte, working with global asset managers to design strategic growth transformations and implement emerging industry solutions. Chris is from Cary, North Carolina, and graduated from the College of Engineering at NC State in 2017.
The Office of Investments internship program is open to any student currently enrolled at NC State University. This program was formalized in 2016 with the goal to offer students interested in investments or marketing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in their respective disciplines.

About Thomas Prince
Thomas is an NC State Senior, double-majoring in Finance and Accounting. He currently volunteers as the Lead Portfolio Manager at NC State’s Student-Managed Investment Fund, Bell Tower Capital Management, and is the President of The Investors’ Association.
Thomas has previously held investment-related internships at several firms in the Raleigh area and has interned with the Office of Investments since August 2020. In his spare time, Thomas enjoys grilling, saltwater fishing, and cheering on the Wolfpack.
About Zachary Abramczyk
Zach is an NC State Junior, majoring in Finance. He currently sits as the Vice President of the NC State Finance Club and is the Director at NC State’s Student-Managed Investment Fund, Bell Tower Capital Management. Zach additionally serves as Ambassador for the NC State Poole College of Management and volunteers as a student mentor with the Applied Synergies partnership, a local high school Entrepreneurship Education Organization. Prior to joining the Office of Investments in January of 2021, Zach worked as an intern with Coworks Software, a Raleigh start-up.
Outside of work and school responsibilities, Zach enjoys hiking, playing soccer and golfing with his dad.
